    Chandini feels like she has to apologize for everything. She doesn't like being thought of as a nuissance. A very self concious young lady, Chandini tries her best to make others feel comfortable with her. She goes great lengths to forsake her own happiness and comfort for others' wellbeing. She is careful about the way she interacts with others, and is wary of how people view her. Others may view her as fake because of this but she is in actuality just a very cautious person. She is especially anxious when talking and interacting with new people as she has low self-esteem. It takes time to peel away the cautious layer, but once it is off, Chandini is highly devoted friend who always has your back.

    With those she has formed a safe bond with, she gives them her utmost attention and loyalty. This is because she is the type to have a smaller social circle and will go great lengths to ensure that it stays protected. Therefore, her personality can do a 180 when her friends are in danger or feeling sad. Chandini dislikes conflict and will usually gives in to arguments with others. She is scared of angering those around her, therefore easily becomes a pushoever. But this cannot be misunderstood as a weakness, Chandini does so in order to retain a social balance, as this much she knows.

¬ History :
   
    Chandini was born to a muggle couple, Shanti and Ashok Patel. She was warmly welcomed as the youngest of three. Soon after her birth, her parents began to notice something was different about their daughter. Shanti’s grandmother, Anila, warned them that their daughter was in fact a witch, inheriting her squib blood. Anila was worried that her grandaughter would fear the child, but in fact it was the opposite. Shanti and Ashok were so proud and excited that their daughter was part of the magical world.

    Chandini was raised to be proud of her duel Magical and Hindu heritages.  She was never confused about belief and reality, as her parents eased both religion and magic together as aspects of each other.

    However peaceful life seemed, Chandini’s parents could not ignore the tensions brewing between the magical world and the muggle world. They took precautions about Chandini’s safety and had her attend a private school in London, which a majority of magical families attended. They also warned their daughter and her two siblings about the conflicts and had them always with one another.

    This worked for several years, despite the financial difficulty on their family. Things came to a melting point one summer when Chandini was 9. It was the annual Patel family picnic. Some of Chandini’s cousins began to tease and pull pranks on her, as she was the youngest. Before her siblings could intervene, Chandini caused the grass to overgrow and tangle her cousins, almost choking them out of anger.

    Immediately, her alarmed extended relatives ostracized her and her family. Her superstitious aunts called her unlucky and a bad omen, all which greatly affected the already scared Chandini. Her parents then decided it was best for Chandini to go live with her great grandmother in Hogsmeade, as Anila had been asking for quite a few years. They packed her up and sent her off to where she could feel more accepted.

    Despite the move, Chandini felt more isolated than ever. She missed her family and her home in London. Things seemed so foreign to her in Hogmeade and she had a hard time talking to other people without her siblings by her side. Things her aunts said to her still remained in the back of her mind, which caused her to become self-concious and damaged her self-esteem. Anila grew worried about her great grandaughter and prayed that she make friends soon. Her worries came to an end once Chandini's Hogwarts letter arrived when she was 11.

    Before sending her great grandaughter off to the historic school, Anila assured Chandini that she would find what she was looking for at Hogwarts, even if she didn't know what it was yet. Chandini, who was reluctant about going, decided that she would try her best not only for Anila but for herself as well. She hoped to be able to find a place to call home at Hogwarts and be accepted by those around her. She was going to prove that she wasn't a bad omen or unlucky.

At Hogwarts
    Still feeling lonely and isolated, Chandini put most of her efforts into her studies. She was quite adept at the magical courses and was often placed in the higher ranks in class. Chandini found it hard to make friends in her first 3 years, but she has decided that she no longer wants to be shy and alone in her 4th year. She is dedicated to developing herself and changing her timid ways, hopeing to gain more friends and some confidence.

¬ Stance about the looming threat on the muggle world:
    
    Chandini hopes that the tensions between muggles and magical folk will die down. She misses her family and wants them to be able to come visit her in Hogsmeade. As for position over the matter, Chandini dislikes major conflict and therefore remains neutral among debates.

Relationships : 

• William Griswold ( ruichou ) - The very first friend that Chandini makes in her 4th year at Hogwarts. Initially ran away from him at every encounter, but slowly warms up to the determined Gryffindor.

• Richard Lost ( Hyoukii ) - Chandini befriended the 5th year as they shared a common fascination for Frost Fairies. Chandini has warmed up quite well to Richard and feels calm whenever around him.

• Quiana Vorvue ( usanyuu ) - The first female friend Chandini made at Hogwarts. Quiana is precious to Chandini and loves their little adventures to Honeydukes. Chandini hopes to become closer with Quiana as the year progresses.
